Paid Anyway

Paid Anyway Terms of Service

Effective date: October 24, 2026

1. Who we are and what these Terms cover

These Terms govern your use of Paid Anyway (the "Service") provided by apochopo Inc. (주식회사 아포초포, Seoul, Republic of Korea — "we", "us"). The Service consists of the iOS and Android apps, the Apple Watch and Wear OS apps, widgets, the Apps in Toss mini-app and our web pages. By installing the app and entering your details you agree to these Terms. There is no account or registration.

2. Definitions

3. Posting and changes to these Terms

We post these Terms, together with our company name, representative, business registration number, address and contact details, in the app (Settings › About › "Terms of use") and at https://salary-alarm.vercel.app/legal/terms. We may amend these Terms within the limits of applicable law. We announce amendments, with the effective date and reasons, at least 7 days in advance, and at least 30 days in advance (also by in-app notice) if the change is unfavorable to you. If you do not object by the effective date you are deemed to accept the amended Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the Service and uninstall the app.

4. The Service

  1. The Service provides: a counter of this year's pay accrued since January 1, updated every 10 seconds, with how much more will accrue by December 31, one jar per month and past years' records; two daily earnings reminders (local notifications in the apps; an amount-free Toss notification in the mini-app); an optional wake-up alarm with a message about what accrued yesterday; display on widgets, Lock Screen, StandBy and watch surfaces where the device supports them; share cards; and an Apps in Toss mini-app (counter, history and share — no alarms or widgets).
  2. The Service is free and funded by in-app advertising (Section 8).
  3. Alarms, the counter and reminders run on your device and keep working regardless of our servers. Web pages and share links depend on our servers and may be interrupted as described in Section 12.

5. The numbers are for reference only

  1. The amounts shown are your entered annual salary divided by the number of days in the year and spread evenly over each 24-hour day (they accrue regardless of working hours or holidays). They do not account for tax, social insurance, deductions, allowances, bonuses, overtime or absences and may differ from what you are actually paid.
  2. The Service is not financial, tax, employment or investment advice and is not a financial service. The counter is for motivation and reference; it cannot be used as evidence for wage claims, working-time records, tax filings or any purpose requiring legal effect.
  3. The calculation method (daily share = annual salary ÷ days in the year; accrual from January 1 that is never emptied at month-end or payday; salary-change dates; time-zone and daylight-saving handling) is explained in the in-app help. We may improve it and will announce changes that alter displayed amounts in the app.

6. Limits of alarms and notifications

  1. Alarms and reminders are delivered by your device's operating system. Silent, Do Not Disturb or Focus modes, battery-saving settings, denied notification or exact-alarm permissions (Android), force-quitting the app, low storage, unsupported OS versions, and time-zone or daylight-saving changes can cause alarms not to ring or to ring late.
  2. Except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for lateness, absence or missed events resulting from an alarm not ringing. Please use an additional alarm for anything important.
  3. The Apps in Toss mini-app has no alarms. Its evening reminder is sent through Toss only if you opt in, and may arrive late or not at all depending on Toss's delivery.

7. Your obligations

You must not: reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the Service or circulate manipulated screenshots or amounts as if they came from us; generate ad impressions or clicks by automated means or obtain ad rewards improperly; infringe our or third parties' intellectual property, reputation or business; overload or disrupt the Service or its servers; use share cards to deceive others (for example as fake proof of income); or otherwise break the law or public morals.

8. Advertising

  1. We display ads (banner, full-screen and rewarded) inside the app to keep the Service free. No ads appear on the alarm screen, in notifications, widgets or watch surfaces.
  2. Ads are selected, delivered and measured by ad providers (Google AdMob in the iOS and Android apps; Toss in-app advertising in the mini-app). Their processing of personal data is described in Section 9 of the Privacy Policy. Personalized ads are off by default and can be switched on or off in Settings.
  3. If you choose to watch a rewarded ad to completion you receive the in-Service reward we define (for example a period without ads or a share-card style). Rewards have no cash value and cannot be transferred or refunded.
  4. Advertisers are responsible for their ads; we are not party to transactions you make through them. Report an inappropriate ad via Settings › Ads › "Report an ad" and we will block it after review.
  5. We may change the type, placement and frequency of ads; changes unfavorable to you follow the notice procedure in Section 3.

9. Paid features

There are currently no paid features. If we introduce any (for example ad removal), we will set out the content, price, payment and refund terms in advance in these Terms or separate terms; withdrawal and refunds follow applicable consumer law and the payment policies of the respective app store (Apple App Store, Google Play, Apps in Toss).

10. Intellectual property and share cards

  1. The Service and the Content are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes and may not copy, distribute, adapt or commercially exploit the Content without our consent.
  2. You may freely share share cards. Our name, logo and design on a card identify the Service; do not remove them or replace them with another service's marks when circulating a card.
  3. Your Entries and the resulting figures are yours. We never receive them and claim no rights in them.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy (https://salary-alarm.vercel.app/legal/privacy) describes how information is handled. Entries stay on your device and are not sent to us; device replacement, reset or uninstalling can erase them, and we cannot recover data that exists only on your device.

12. Changes to and suspension of the Service

We may change the Service for operational or technical reasons and will announce changes in the app or on our web pages. Server-based parts (web pages, share links) may be suspended for maintenance, failures, communication outages, force majeure, or changes in app-store, operating-system or Apps in Toss policies; on-device alarms and the counter are unaffected. If we discontinue the Service entirely we will give 30 days' notice in the app and on our web pages.

13. Our obligations

We will not act contrary to law or these Terms, will make reasonable efforts to provide the Service continuously and stably, will protect personal information as described in the Privacy Policy, and will handle legitimate complaints sent to contact@apochopo.com, informing you of the reason and schedule if a matter cannot be resolved promptly.

14. Limitation of liability

  1. We are not liable where we cannot provide the Service due to events beyond our control, including force majeure, communication failures, or failures or policy changes of app stores, operating systems or the Apps in Toss platform.
  2. Absent our intent or negligence, we are not liable for differences between displayed amounts and your actual pay (Section 5), alarms not ringing for the reasons in Section 6, incorrect Entries, or consequences of your sharing a share card.
  3. We are not liable for ad content, transactions made through ads, or ad providers' data processing to the extent responsibility rests with the advertiser or ad provider.
  4. Because the Service is free, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law except for willful misconduct or gross negligence. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence.

15. Damages

A party that breaches these Terms and causes damage to the other is liable for that damage unless it proves the absence of intent or negligence.

16. Apps in Toss mini-app

Mini-app users are also bound by the Toss terms and the Apps in Toss platform policies; these Terms govern use of the Service within the mini-app and the Toss terms govern use of the Toss app. The mini-app does not use Toss login; Entries are stored in the mini-app's storage and are deleted with it. The mini-app has no alarms or payments, and its only notification is the opt-in evening reminder through Toss; its ads are Toss in-app ads and rewards are limited to in-mini-app features. Deleting the mini-app in the Toss app ends your use.

17. App-store terms

  1. The Service is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple Inc. and Google LLC and their affiliates are not parties to these Terms and have no responsibility for maintenance, support or warranties of the Service. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them.
  2. Use of the app downloaded from the App Store is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA); these Terms supplement it and, in case of conflict, the minimum terms of the Standard EULA prevail.
  3. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo and are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

18. Disputes, governing law and jurisdiction

We will try in good faith to resolve disputes with you. You may apply to a consumer dispute mediation body in your country. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections of the country where you reside. Lawsuits between you and us are brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

Addendum

These Terms take effect on October 24, 2026. Translations are for convenience; the Korean text prevails.
